Sufi Teaching

Sufi teachings focus on the inner, spiritual dimension of Islam, emphasizing love, devotion, and the purification of the soul (Tazkiyah). Rooted in Tasawwuf (Islamic mysticism), Sufism seeks a direct and personal connection with God through practices like dhikr (remembrance of God), meditation, and self-discipline.

Core Principles of Sufi Teachings:

  1. Divine Love & Devotion – True faith comes from love for God and His creation.
  2. Self-Purification – Overcoming ego (nafs) to attain spiritual enlightenment.
  3. Dhikr & Meditation – Repetitive recitation of God’s names for spiritual awakening.
  4. Service & Compassion – Helping others as a form of worship.
  5. Guidance of a Spiritual Mentor (Murshid) – Following a Sufi master to understand divine wisdom.
  6. Unity with God (Tawhid) – Seeking closeness to Allah through sincerity and devotion.

Sufism is associated with great mystics like Rumi, Al-Ghazali, Ibn Arabi, and Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, who emphasized peace, tolerance, and universal love.
